I shared last week about my new product that I have for sale. I'm still super excited about it, and, if you haven't already, I hope you'll check it out! Here's the direct link. I also mentioned about joining Amazon Affiliate links and all that that entails. Again, it's an opportunity that has me a little stunned and very excited! And, as is often the case, a little growth often leads to a lot of change. Once things start moving, they're apt to pick up speed and keep on moving.

So, I've been reading a book that I've added to my Recs and Wishes page. It's the 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. While my goal is not and never has been to be rich or famous, this book has changed the way I look at basically everything. Husband read it probably 8 years ago, and I never read it because I assumed it would read like a textbook. I've read enough textbooks in my day, thankyouverymuch, so I wasn't touching this one. I'm not sure what changed my mind, but I checked it out from the library a couple of weeks ago and wow. Just wow. It's opened up a whole new world of thought to me, and, FYI, it reads nothing like a textbook. It's interesting and exciting and thought-provoking, and I love it.

It lit a fire in me to keep pushing myself and keep working at this space in an effective and efficient way. I want to be encouraging and uplifting and helpful to the folks who stop by, and I want to be honest and vulnerable, too. I want to grow a community. A tribe! Strong, a little messy at times, supportive, open, reliable, challenging, growth-triggering, friendly. While brainstorming ways to do this last week, I had an idea that has me so excited! I've been wanting to do food photography for a while now, but I haven't had any food photography jobs just dropped into my lap, and, truthfully, I have no time to go looking for one. But then I thought...why not be my own food photographer? And that idea grew into...why not write my own cookbook? Which quickly turned into....why not put my recipes into an app that is constantly updated and added to with all kinds of bells and whistles that I'm dreaming up over here?!?

So that's what we're going to do! Husband is looking into how to build an app, and I tested my first 2 recipes last night. I'm not going to share too many details now because, in all honesty, we're still a couple months out from the launch, at least. These things take time. But I'm too excited to keep this to myself!

If there's anything you'd really love to see in a cookbook/recipe app from me, let me know in the comments or on my Facebook page. And stay tuned! Big things are happening!!
